Link a user to a kin profile

Linking connects a signed-in person to one kin profile so check-ins and "me" schedules stay clear. Each account can only link to one profile in a family.

Link yourself (This is me)

  1. Open an off-app kin profile (not already linked).
  2. If you don't already have a linked profile, you'll see This is me.
  3. Tap it to attach the profile to your account.
  4. To undo, use Unlink account (you or an admin).

You can also check This profile is me when creating a new kin profile.

Link someone else (admin)

  1. Go to People → Users and open that person.
  2. Set their role to Kin.
  3. Choose the kin profile in the dropdown (only unlinked profiles, or the one already theirs).
  4. Save. The profile updates to link their account.

Alternatively, invite them as Kin with a profile to claim - approving the join request links it.

Caretaker assignments (not the same as linking)

Caretaker assignments control which profiles someone can see and update. That is separate from a linked account. A caretaker can be assigned several kin profiles without "being" any of them.
