Using Carakin

Both web and Android use the same primary destinations: Today, Calendar, People, and Settings. +Care stays in the top bar (and is raised in the Android bottom bar). On narrower web windows, the tab list opens from a hamburger menu at the top left while +Care remains top right.

+Care

Use +Care to add a medication, appointment, or task, or to Log vitals (blood pressure, weight, blood sugar). Choose who it's for, who is responsible (for scheduled care), reminders, and optional document attachments. It opens a popup; you can also edit schedules from the calendar.

• Done - mark an occurrence complete
• Issue - flag a problem (optional note)
• Skip - skip this occurrence only
• Remove this and all future - end the series from here forward

Today

Today summarizes care for the day. What you see depends on your role:

• Admin - family-wide care grouped by who is assigned
• Caretaker - your assignments, handoff gaps (missed/issues from other shifts on your kin), and cards for your assigned people
• Kin - the same layout for your linked profile only (your assignments, handoff gaps on you, and your care for the day)

Use Cover my Shift on Today when you need someone else to temporarily take your scheduled care.

Calendar

Open Calendar for Day / Week / Month views, or use today's schedule on Today. Filter by Kin, type (meds / appts / tasks), and who's assigned. Select an item to act on it in the side panel (or a popup on month view).

People

Open People, then switch between Kin, Users, and Docs.

• Kin - profiles for the people you care for. Edit personal details (encrypted), photos, mood check-ins, and linked schedules. Mark This is me when a profile belongs to your account.
• Users - signed-in family members. Admins invite people, approve join requests, and manage roles and photos from each user's detail page. Admin has full family access; Caretaker sees assigned kin only; Kin is linked to one kin profile for their own care.
• Docs - encrypted family files. Link them to kin profiles and attach them to care schedules.

Join requests and encryption access requests also appear on Today so admins can clear them quickly.

Plan & billing

Family Premium is one subscription per family - Admins, caretakers, and kin all share it. Subscribe on the web with Stripe (monthly or yearly), or on Android through Google Play. You do not pay twice for phone and browser.
